Lucky Star

Whats Christmas without a couple of performances!  Olivia's school has "Cookies and Carols" and they sing the Christmas classics.

Little Miss Rock Star on the other hand worked very hard to put together quite the performance of "Lucky Star" and "When you Wish Upon a Star."  You knew all the words and all the moves to your 2 songs and we frequently found you singing along to everyone elses songs from your chair. 

Do you have my Santa list?

We had a couple of chances to see Santa and Mrs. Clause this year.  Olivia helped Hannah put together her Santa list.  Which consisted of Olivia spelling words out on scratch paper and Hannah copying them to the best of her ability on her Santa list.  It was so cute and I think they both did a very good job.  Everytime we went anywhere that Santa could possibly be (which might as well have been everytime we left the house) I would always hear "mom do you have my Santa list?"

Christmas Cookies

Baking has been a big part of our Christmas this year and it has been soooooo much fun!  I think we baked a total of 60 dozen cookies and 10 batches of fudge.  Yes 60 dozen cookies means lots of flour, rolling, cookie cutting, decorating and eating!  Hannah was the flour girl....anytime flour was needed (and even when it wasn't :) she would sprinkle the flour on the table and rub down the rolling pin.  Olivia was the rolling girl and the pan girl.  She would roll the dough for the 1st few rolls and then after we all took turns with the cookie cutters she held the pans while I lined them up.  We had several cookie decorating parties which was really fun for everyone. 

I truly enjoy this time we get to share every year around the holidays.  I hope we continue these traditions for a long time to come.

So I tried really hard to get 2 really silly girls to sit still for me to take a picture of them by the newly decorated tree.  I think they teamed up against me and decided that they were going to do all there favorite model and silly poses.
