Mommy Duty and the 100th day of school

Well Miss Olivia, the 100th day of school is on Friday which means projects!  Projects mean mommy duty.  You have to have a shirt on Friday decorated with 100 of something.  You chose ribbons.  I sat tonight and tied 100 ribbons and bows on a shirt for you.  It reminded me 100 times how much I love you.  My blisters and I are calling it a night :}

Celebrations!

Well today is birthday celebration day for daddy.  We got up this morning and started his cake.  Yummy Black Forest Cake.  This is my first time making this one but it turned out to be a crowd favorite so I think it will make its way back.

I went to the store to get stuff for our cookout.  It was a very warm and beautiful day.  I think it reached around 68 degrees.  Just what you two needed after being sick for so long!   You girls played with daddy and Dani and Lexi while I was gone and for a while when I got home and was preparing our food.  50/50 burgers?  I know sounds strange but something your Poppie saw on food network and fell in love.  Its 50% ground beef and 50% ground bacon.  Another crowd favorite I must say.  Even you girls liked them.

Our guests arrived around 5pm and after dinner we sang to daddy and ate the cake!  The best part for sure!  I feel like we are blessed to have celebrated with Mimi, Poppie, Grandmommy and Granddaddy.  Most of all I feel blessed to have Nana join us this year too.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Where's daddy?

It is daddy's birthday but actually he had to go to work for a few hours today so we were off to a birthday party for Emily, a classmate of Olivia's.  Both of you did a great job skating!

Olivia- you spent the whole time with your friends.  I shouldn't be surprised but even when I would come to talk to you or help you up when you fell, you quickly told me you were fine!

Hannah- you did so well to hold one hand and hold the side wall when you needed to feel a little extra sturdy.  You even did well to skate on your own for a while.  We weren't at the rink 10mins and you made friends with little Ella.  She was 2 1/2 but talked well and you two stuck together most of the time.

Once we got home, you were so quick to have daddy open his gifts from us.  It is after all his birthday!  We will be celebrating more tomorrow with all our family!

One of my favorite things!

Story time is one of my favorite things.  We read every night just before bed.  We all say prayers together and off to bed.  Sometimes I lay with each of you for 15-20mins to chat and keep you close!

Can I get a Dr. please?

Patiently waiting comes in many forms.
Waiting for the Dr.

and waiting...............

We did a lot of waiting today.  We needed to get your breathing checked out so we made an appointment.  11:20am, of course mommy doesn't like to be late so we will say 11:15am checkin.  By 12:00pm you were hanging out of the waiting room door waving your chart.  Very quietly, not saying a word, but saying a lot with your actions.  We finally got our room at about 12:15pm.  You were hungry and ready for a nap but you managed to entertain yourself and Monkety Monk just fine.

Fake it til you make it!

Well we have been couped up long enough!  We woke up this morning and mommy decided it was time to get the heck out of the house for the day.  You all have been sick and sluggish and blah but I knew just how to get you excited...............the "Horsey Mall!"  There is a local mall that has a carousel and a pretzel place within 50ft of each other.  Can't ask for anything better than that.  Olivia did well back to school yesterday but Hannah is still not quite there yet.  I figure if we just get out and do something it may get your blood flowing and make you feel better.

1st stop~pretzels.  Then you both spotted the jumping trampolines down the main hall so off we went.  You both opted for this over the horsey.  We were off to an exciting start.

But that didn't last long.  Before you even got your feet much off the ground Hannah you were ready to get down.  The tears came and they quickly got you down.  You said it hurt your tummy and "just about squeezed the pee out!"  Well there you have it.  All the reason you needed to get off that ride.

The nice man gave you your money back and we thought it would make you feel better if you go to ride the horsey you came to ride.

 See that happy face!
